| Qualification: Certificate II in Engineering
Training Package: Metal and Engineering This qualification is designed to prepare people to work in occupations such as ship/boatbuilding worker, fabrication engineering worker (cast, light or heavy),or mechanical engineering worker, production welder, surface finisher, engineering CNC operator or equipment maintainer, engineering machining workers, and engineering production workers in general. It is for people who need the competencies to work at the basic production operator level in manufacturing, engineering and related industry areas. Students will acquire skills and knowledge in workplace communication, occupational health and safety, quality procedures systems and planning, plus some industry specific skills in a production or process area relevant to current or intended employment.
