This qualification is for people who work or who want to work in a range of manufacturing or engineering enterprises in occupations such as product designer, computer aided designer and metallurgical technician, polymer technology, metrology and sustainable technologies. The range of electives allows you to choose a mix of competencies to suit jobs in a wide variety of manufacturing industries. You can acquire skills in the operation of production equipment, the testing of finished products, simple trade skills, effective communication and supervision, quality control, production control and automation techniques. Your selected campus / training provider can help you choose the units of competency most appropriate to your needs.
