| Qualification: Certificate IV in Process Plant Technology
Training Package: Chemical, Hydrocarbons and Oil Refining The petro-chemical industry is very diverse with technology ranging from the relatively basic to the very sophisticated. This qualification is designed to provide a balanced program of practical, technical and theoretical training relevant to a plant technician in the chemical, hydrocarbons and oil refining or distribution industries. Students will learn how to apply workplace procedures, follow workplace safety procedures, respond to emergency situations, communicate in the workplace, follow environmental work practices, plus some industry specific technical skills in a process area relevant to current or intended employment.
