This qualification is suitable for process technicians (senior operators and first line managers) in the manufactured mineral products industry who want to learn a broad range of skills in coordinating and organising work operations. This qualification combines on-the-job training and experience with off-the-job training. Students will learn about managing teams, implementing continuous improvements and carrying out quality audits. They will also learn how to develop workplace procedures and occupational health and safety procedures and implement production efficiencies. They will gain skills in a range of competencies from project management to developing quality systems.
