Training Package: Textiles, Clothing and Footwear

This qualification is designed to prepare people to work in the textile production industry in occupations such as early stage wool processing leading hand, leather good producer and textiles producer. The breadth, depth and complexity of knowledge and skills gained in this qualification will prepare a person to perform a defined range of supervision roles, specialised technical tasks or multi-skilled roles. You will learn about production planning processes, how to check and test product quality, machinery operation and maintenance, management of teams and production, training, and warehousing and distribution.

Certificates III and IV

Certificates III and IV recognise more complex vocational skills and knowledge that meet nationally endorsed industry/enterprise competency standards as agreed for those qualifications by the relevant industry, enterprise, community or professional group. They include training at the apprenticeship level, as well as more advanced skills in: literacy and numeracy; communication skills; workplace technology; and industry specific competencies. VET qualifications are offered by TAFE Institutes, private providers and some universities.
