Manufacturing = making things

Yes, Manufacturing is about making things, an incredible variety of things. Products such as furniture and clothes, electronics and jewellery, boats, trains and submarines. And what about cochlear implants, V8 Supercars and hi-performance maxi-yacht sails?

If it can be imagined, it can be made.

Manufacturing also = imagining, planning, creating and improving things

Manufactured products, and processes, have to be conceived, designed and devised. They also need to be tested, maintained and repaired, and their quality assured and improved.

Manufacturing also = selling and marketing things and managing the processes

Manufactured products have to be sold and transported nationally and internationally. Enterprises need to be managed, business processes established and implemented, and staff supervised and trained.

And all that means jobs, and careers. Lots of them.

Because Manufacturing is so diverse, there are careers in Manufacturing to suit people of all ages, genders, personalities, and educational levels and particularly people who might already have work and life experience and skills.
