| Qualification: Certificate II in Glass and Glazing
Training Package: Furnishing This qualification is designed to prepare people to work as glass and glazing workers. It aims to provide students with a broad range of skills that may assist them in the glass and glazing industry. Glass and glazing is a nationally recognised trade opening up exciting doors for young people in commercial and domestic glazing. Glass workers carry out various interesting tasks with flat or sheet glass in a wide range of industries such as construction, automotive and furnishing. Some work may cross into the shop and office fit out sector. This course provides training for glass installation, window manufacture and glazing of windows and doors. Areas of study include safe storage and handling of glass, use of machinery, glazing, lead lighting and the fabrication and assembly of metal frames and the installation of mirrors.
