Training Package: Competitive Manufacturing

This qualification is for people who work or who want to work in manufacturing organisations in a range of occupations that includes computer aided designer, product designer, metallurgy technician and senior process manager. The range of electives allows you to choose a mix of units to suit technical, design, supervision and management roles in a wide variety of manufacturing enterprises. You will acquire skills in the operation and selection of production equipment, quality assurance and testing of finished products, effective communication and management, quality control, manufacturing resources planning, automation and flexible manufacturing, and advanced manufacturing practices.

Advanced Diploma

The Advanced Diploma (like the Diploma) prepares candidates for self-directed application of skills and knowledge based on fundamental principles and/or complex techniques. It recognises capacity for initiative and judgment across a broad range of technical and/or management functions. The Advanced Diploma is however, a more specialised qualification than the Diploma and signifies skill and knowledge of a greater complexity and a higher level of personal accountability. It is offered in both the VET and Higher Education sectors, by TAFE institutes, universities and private providers.
